A Hard Fist and a Harder Body - The Best Workout For Fighters is Right Here

The best workout for all athletes should focus in on the development of speed and power, period! When talking about fighters this is certainly the most important trait you can have next to mastering your fighting techniques. As a strength and conditioning specialist I can say with 100% certainty that the best exercises for fighters are kettlebell exercises, particularly the kettlebell snatch exercise. Read on if I have your attention.

Kettlebell Snatch

You see by now you are probably familiar with the ancient kettlebell and realize that this ancient device has been around for centuries to build some of the greatest athletes in the world. Because kettlebell training is primarily "movement based" in nature instead of focusing in on targeting "specific muscle groups" it translates beautifully over into the ring or cage for fighters. As a strength and conditioning professional I would say that the kettlebell snatch is the best kettlebell exercise for fighters. This particular lift is performed by vertically pulling the kettlebell up from either between your legs or from the ground and elevating it to a held position locked out above your head. This lift should be smooth and forceful in nature. You can accomplish this by performing a hip snap with your hips and knees to generate the force to complete the snatch lift. This particular kettlebell exercise will give you a hand shake that will never go unnoticed, superior core strength, hip power, and the shoulders of a world class fighter! Just by executing this lift for a series of 10 or 20 reps with a moderately heavy bell you will quickly see just how exerting and challenging it can be. This is a true fighter workout my friend. Take the time to include the snatch lift into your own workout program if you are serious about winning.

If you haven't already taken the time to include kettlebell snatches or other kettlebell lifts into your arsenal of strength training exercises then you are missing out on drastically improving your fighting game. This particular lift won't only provide you with tremendous total body strength, but it will give you a fighters cardio workout worthy of any champion!
